“Maybe most important, farm food itself is totally different from what most people now think of as food: none of those colorful boxed and bagged products, precut, parboiled, ready to eat, and engineered to appeal to our basest desires. We were selling the opposite: naked, unprocessed food, two steps from the dirt.”

Hello and Welcome to the Farm-ily!

We are so excited to start the CSA Program this year, and so are our plants! So much so, that we've decided to start two weeks early!

This early start is a perfect example of what it means to participate in a Community Supported Agriculture Program. Historically, by joining a CSA, members have committed to sharing in the risks that come along with work that is inherently reliant upon nature. As farmers, we can't control the late cold snap that kills all of our transplants, the hail storm that damages the kale, or those darn slugs that keep eating the cabbage. However, sometimes that same unpredictable nature gives us a week of 80 degree weather in early May! Everything on the farm grew twice as fast as expected and has left us with lots of delicious produce that is fully developed and ready for harvest. We appreciate all our members willingness to be flexible and dive right into the season! If this spring is any indication, it looks like it's going to be a productive one at that.

We thank you for your trust in us as your farmers. We take great pride in growing the most healthy, nutrient-dense, and delicious produce we possibly can for you and your family. Your participation in our CSA Program not only supports our farm, but strengthens our entire local food system and reverberates into the local economy in a variety of ways. We're grateful for your support and we look forward to growing and learning right along side you in 2019.

Here's what you can expect as a member of Wild Grown Farm's CSA Program:

  • We harvest early Friday morning and deliver shortly after. This guarantees the freshest, highest-quality product straight to you and your family.

  • You can expect 5 to 7 varieties of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers each week.

  • Spring typically starts off lighter, with more greens and less diversity. The share sizes and varieties increase as the season progresses and peaks around September.

  • We always give your produce a quick wash. However, it's good practice to wash them again before you use them. Since we use Organic growing practices there may be small bugs that manage to sneak by our washing process, so be sure to wash before cooking unless you want the extra protein ;).

  • Each week you will receive a newsletter that includes photos and information about what's happening on the farm, a list of what's included in your share, at least two recipes our family is actually eating this week, and an occasional spotlight of a crop we're excited about.

  • Egg Shares will continue to start as originally planned on May 31st. Please note, that our colorful egg layers won't begin laying for at least another four weeks. In the meantime, your eggs will be coming from the healthy, happy, free-range hens from my moms farm in Central Oregon. They are fed the same Organic feed as our birds with the added bonus of an acre of pasture grass and High-Desert sunshine.

  • If you're going to be out of town on a specific Friday, please give us at least 48 hours advance notice.
