Peas (SOLD OUT)
Peas (SOLD OUT)
(Pisum sativum)
Size: 6-Pack
We offer three types of peas- snow, shelling, and snap. The pod of snow peas is flat with small, premature peas inside. The entire pod is edible and often used whole in stir-fries. Shelling peas are sometimes known as garden peas, sweet peas, or English peas. The pods are firm and rounded with plumb peas inside that need to be removed, or shelled, before eating. Snap peas are a cross between snow peas and shelling peas. The whole pod is edible and has a crunchy texture and very sweet flavor.
Oregon Sugar Pod (Snow)- This very popular snow pea variety produces an abundance of 4” pods that are delicious when eaten young. Plants are productive on dwarf vines and the peas are sweet and stringless.
Green Arrow (Shelling)- A Wild Grown Farm favorite, this shelling peas has large, 4-5” pods on vigorous dark-green plants. Early producer of very heavy yields, this delicious variety will need staking.
Super Sugar Snap- Super, duper sweet snap pea variety that lives up to its name! Produces thick, juicy, extra long pods on 5’ plants. More heat tolerant that many other snap peas on the market.
