Beans (SOLD OUT)

$5.00

(Phaseolus vulgaris)

Size: 6-Pack

We grow two categories of beans- determinate (bush) and indeterminate (pole). Bush beans grow in a compact bushy structure. They usually produce heavily for a shorter period of time but require no staking and minimal care. Pole beans grow in a vining habit and require staking to grow successfully. With regular harvesting and plant care they generally will continue to produce throughout the growing season until the frost.

Enjoy the diversity of our mixed variety six-pack that includes:

BUSH BEANS:

Royal Burgundy- These purple pod beauties are delicious and easy to find when harvesting. They grow surprisingly well is cooler temperatures and make a good variety for container gardening. The pods turn green when cooked.

Jade- These bushy plants are known to produce straight, long, stringless pods, Jade is a favorite among many gardeners. These dark green beans are tender and sweet when eaten fresh or cooked. Jade is very productive and more tolerant of heat/cold swings than most other varieties.

Goldilocks- This variety produces an abundance of straight, vibrant yellow beans that grow 5-6” long on upright plants. Great flavor and production.

POLE BEANS:

Carminat- Deep purple bean pods that boasts a sweet, subtle nutty flavor. Absolutely beautiful! Plants grows 9-10’ tall when properly trellised and produce pods that are 8-9” long. Beans turn green when cooked.
